ARTISTIC ACCOMPLISHMENTS
The Engine Project 1998. Multi-media one man
show: Painting, drawing, fashion, music video, models, objects
and castings. Preview at Art & Java Gallery, Full show debut
at Silver Meteor Gallery
underCURRENT overVIEW 2 - July 1998. A broad-based
look at Tampa Bay artists exhibiting significant work by emerging
artists and new directions by established artists. Among the
artists featured were Maria Castagliola, James Michaels and Allison
Massari. Held at the Tampa Museum of Art.
The Lost Weekend - November 1997. Group exhibit
including artists including as Joe Griffith, Theo Wujcik and
Thomas Murray. The exhibitionspanned over the Tampa Bay area
with consecutive openings at three different galleries: ImageBrewery
(Valrico), Silver Meteor Gallery (YborCity) and Gallery @145
(St. Petersburg).
Gasparilla Art Festival - Second Place "Gasparilla
Award", 1998. "Award of Merit", 1997, 1996, 1995,
1994.
Swank O Rama - May 1997. Group exhibit with
lounge concept. Created soup cans with lush spokespersons such
as Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr. and Dean Martin. Included area
artists Tomas Marias, Krystyn Kenney, Todd Bates and Tom Peacock.
Sounds by Deep Lounge Experience. Held at 18Thirteen (Ybor City).
Skins - January 1997. Organized and created
works for the titanic anatomy project. Artists' fashions based
on their ownsubcultures. Artists included titanic anatomy members
and select area designers. Held at the former project room (Downtown
Tampa).
Brown, Grey and Black - August 1996. One man
conceptual show including works on canvas, objects, video, audio,
models and food. Held at 18Thirteen (Ybor City).

(Silver Meteor Gallery, Ybor City); The Night is Also Sun (titanic
anatomy, Tampa); Thread and Asterisk Show (Florida Contemporary
Museum of Art, Tampa); 55th Annual Contemporary Painters (Society
of Four Arts, West Palm Beach); P.I.C.A.O.C. (Gallery 445, Philadelphia).
Other awards include Best Artist, Best of the
Bay 1997; Best Fashion Show for Skins , Best of the Bay 1997;
Best Art Opening for Brown, Grey and Black, Best of the Bay 1997;
Best Alternative Art Space for titanic anatomy, Best of the Bay

PERSONAL INFORMATION
Tom Kenney is 26 and resides in West Tampa with his
wife is Krystyn and his two-year old son Gage. He recently relocated
his studio to a loft on 7th Avenue in Ybor City. He works for
Davis Advertising as an Art Director, where he designs and executes
client advertising.
